Privacy
Spourt is an AI training coach. It plans your training, sends workouts to your watch and adapts the plan to what you actually do. This page says what we store, why, who processes it, and how you stay in control of it. Spourt is run by Roman Vernada, an individual based in France. Questions: roman@spourt.ai.
What we store
- Your account: your name and email from Google sign-in.
- What you tell the coach: your goals, races, availability, fixed sessions, limits and the conversation itself.
- From Garmin, once you connect it: your activities (time, distance, heart rate, power, pace, laps, strength sets, the effort you rated on the watch) and, if you allow health data in Garmin Connect, your sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, VO2max, stress and steps.
- Health data, only with your separate consent: weight, body fat, check-ins (how you feel, soreness, pain), injuries and nutrition preferences.
- Your Anthropic API key, encrypted and never shown again after you save it.
How we use it
Only to coach you:
- build and adapt your training plan, and send its workouts to your watch;
- compare what you did with what was planned, and work out your training load, fitness and fatigue;
- estimate your thresholds and training zones from your workouts and tests;
- adjust the day's training to your recovery (HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, check-ins);
- set daily nutrition targets from your training.
We don't sell your data, don't use it for advertising and don't share it with anyone beyond the services below, which process it for us to run Spourt.
Who processes your data
- Supabase (database and sign-in), hosted in Ireland (EU).
- Vercel (hosting of the app), running in Dublin, Ireland (EU).
- Anthropic (Claude, the AI that writes the coach's replies and plans), in the United States, through your own API key. See below.
- Garmin, the source of your watch data, and where your planned workouts are sent when you connect it.
- Google, only to sign you in.
AI transparency
The coach is Claude, an AI model by Anthropic. To answer you, Spourt sends Claude a summary of your profile, goals, constraints, recent training and recovery (including data from Garmin), and the relevant part of your conversation. Raw files from your watch are not sent. Planning rules, training load and zones are calculated by Spourt's own code, not by the AI.
- Your consent: you agree to this when you accept the terms and when you connect Garmin, before any of your data reaches Claude.
- Your key, your account: requests go through your own Anthropic API key, under Anthropic's commercial terms, which say API data isn't used to train their models.
- No training on your data: neither Spourt nor anyone it works with uses your Garmin data, or anything derived from it, to train, evaluate or improve AI models.
- Withdrawing: disconnect Garmin in Settings and no Garmin data is sent any more; delete your account to remove everything, including what the coach used.
Your control
- See and export: Settings → Export my data downloads everything we hold about you as a file.
- Correct: tell the coach, or edit it in the app (goals, notes, numbers).
- Withdraw health-data consent: Settings, at any time; the health data stored is deleted.
- Disconnect Garmin: Settings, at any time; Spourt stops receiving data and tells Garmin to end the link. What was already imported stays until you delete it.
- Delete: Settings → Delete account removes your account, plan, history, conversation and key. It can't be undone.
You also have the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL). Write to roman@spourt.ai for anything on this page.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Deleting your account deletes your data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each account can only read its own rows (enforced by the database), and your API key and Garmin tokens are kept in an encrypted vault.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it applies.
